Caravan Cultura CreArt Agency welcomes you warmly on Friday, the 9th of June at 18:00 at Holland House Brussels to another Creative Talk, another Cultural Friday with a dialogue and networking drinks, where fashion designer BAIRA from Kyrgyzstan will reveal all the secrets behind her fashion adventure, which she began 10 years ago! BAIRA will take part in Rotterdam Fashion Week, before that she is our honorary guest!

Trained as a professional diplomat back in her motherland, she become a cultural diplomat, who has been using fashion as an instrument for her cultural diplomacy and understanding, when she started BAIRA 10 years ago, combining eco-textiles and traditions, arts and crafts of nomads and haut-couture! She visited Brussels one year ago and organized a fashion show at the premises of the Embassy of The Kyrgyz Republic in Brussels! It was a part of an event on the eco-tourism and sustainability!

Anouk van Oss, young professional from the Netherlands, who is based in Brussels nowadays and paves her way into EU affairs, specializes in the topic of sustainability and due-diligence in fashion and textiles, will tell us about EU’s new Strategy on textiles and will draw parallels with the EU Green Deal!
Passionate about fashion, she studied at the Universities in Wageningen, Leiden and Bologna. Moreover, she has been working with different textile  and fashion companies in The Netherlands and Belgium!

Our dynamic discussion will be moderated by Mary-Ann Schreurs, a former Vice-Major and Alder(wo)man for Design, Culture and Sustainability of the Municipality of Eindhoven, who has enormous experience, working with EU issues and translating them into the languages of creativity in practice!

Please join us for this lovely discussion, where BAIRA will celebrate her 10 years of challenging encounters in the world of fashion and her personal revolution, with which she became precursor of much bigger societal change!

The doors are open @18:00, we start our talk at 18:30 with drinks to follow after!

The event is organized by Caravan Cultura CreArt Agency and got ENCATC’s Excellency label and is a part of New European Bauhaus initiative, where Holland House is a part of!
