Fashion and dance have long been intertwined, since the first of sultana skirt by Paul Poiret, who was modeled by Ballets Russes! Very early one century ago fashion designers all suddenly became interested in dance! Dance came into fashion scene as a medium of choice, blurring the lines between the runways and the dance floor! Since then ballet costumes inspired the fashion trends, having materials such as chiffon, silk tule and organza, which came into fashion collections and our everyday garderobes!
Paul Poiret, Gareth Pugh, Christian Dior, Coco Channel, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gautier, Karl Lagerfeld, Iris van Herpen and more have worked within the realm of dance!
We are lucky and privileged to have Catalina Jitaru as our guest for our Creative Talk at the premises of Holland House Brussels!
